The
Meditation Consultation
This
one-hour session helps you achieve a personal or spiritual goal. It uses
a variety of methods drawn from Eastern and Western styles of meditation.
A
meditation consultation has four parts:
(1)
Identification of an achievable goal for your consultation.
(2)
Experiential and didactic training in relevant meditation techniques
to help you reach your goal and overcome current obstacles to its attainment.
(3)
Recommendations for your continued practice.
(4)
When appropriate, you will receive referral to local groups or individuals
where you can enhance your experience and receive additional assistance
with your area of concern. Also, you may be given articles to help deepen
your understanding and insight, or directed to read certain books that
will give you further information.
A
meditation consultation can benefit you in a number of ways, including:
gaining
insight into and resolving a personal problem area
transforming
unconscient, repressed material into conscious and Superconscious energy
beginning
the practice of meditation
learning
to relieve stress and tension in your daily life
overcoming
hindrances in your current meditational practice
finding
new methods or alternative means to reach your spiritual goals
defining
your life's purpose and exploring the existential meanings of your life's
experiences
providing
a coherent program to actualize your personal vision and life goals
by strengthening the will, enhancing the intuition, sharpening the intellect,
creatively utilizing the imagination, focusing the energy of desire,
improving the memory, and through self-programming successful behavior
and healthy habits
achieving
Self Realization (Gnosis) and illumination of the Higher Mind (Enlightenment)
reaching
deeper states of communion with the Divine
reintegrating
yourself into daily life after involvement with a cult
A
meditation consultation allows you to get answers to your questions, find
ways around the obstacles that thwart you, and explore alternative approaches
to achieve your goal. A meditation consultation is not psychotherapy,
although it may incorporate common counseling practices and techniques.
